Just finished a commission for Rockfish. A Cornish brand of Welly Boots. Shot on location in Nr Looe, these images are destined for advertising in Asia.

I liked working with Betty the Pug! Good times.

Well it only took me 11 months to edit these beauties. A Cobblers children go barefoot an’ all that…or in this case…a photographer’s Sister goes wedding photo-less…for a year.

I gave Katie a wedding photography package and album set as a wedding present. Then proceeded to hand the lions share of the coverage off to my trusted associate photographer, the infamous ‘Bertie’. Saying that I did shoot a few, some of which feature below.

The Marquee was situated in Maddron, and overlooked the epic vista of Marazion.
Katie was lucky enough to have help personalizing the decor from my amazing Parents. Who are very creative, selfless & hard working. Together they created an amazing array of hand made decor including rustic barn games, bunting, knitted table decor, and my Dad even made the wedding cake (He wouldn’t make mine though. What gives?).
The windturbine on the cake is a tribute to Tom’s career in renewable energy.
I helped Katie sort Tom’s wedding present – a sexy custom retro fish, courtesy of BeachBeat Surfboards. getting married and getting a new surfboard on the same day. Good times!!

As you can see I feature heavily in this set. Mainly giving booze (Cobra 0% Alcohol) to children and animals…and yes, I did do that to the Dinosaurs, or was it Bertie…

Thalia briefed me on the Steampunk theme and I have to admit, I had to Google it. After educating myself I was very excited about what I may find on the day. I imagined a cross between vintage and one of my favourite films as a child; Time Bandits! I wasn’t disappointed.

I was lucky enough to be asked by the fabulous ladies fashion boutique Sisley to photograph the lucky winners (Lexie & her daughters Shenna, age 11 & Ashleigh, age 16) of a competition to find a special Mum on Mother’s Day.

I loved shooting this wedding. The light in October was lovely and low.

The reception was held near Porth Beach, Newquay at the Porth Veor Manor.

Steve’s a fellow boogie boarder and Amanda likes to water ski and can hold her own in the DIY arena. She also loves her Gran lots, and they shared some great moments during the day. Sally & Dom got married abroad with their nearest and dearest. Upon their return, they threw a massive wedding party to celebrate with all of the friends and family who didn’t make the overseas trip.

It was a pleasure witnessing these two in action. Such a sweet couple. You could tell they were head over heels for each other a mile away.

Jodie & Jon began their wedding preparations at home in Newquay, then headed to St Mawgan in Pydar Church. After a beautiful ceremony the wedding party headed to the reception venue; a wonderfully decorated marque situated in the grounds of the epic St Mawes Castle.

While everybody headed to the reception we hit Watergate Bay Beach for some photos.

If you take a look through their entire wedding photo collection using the link below you’ll see the element of the day was WIND – and a lot of it – which made for some great photo opportunities, although hats and veils looked to me like a challenging accessory.

One last observation. This wedding had the most guests I think I’ve ever seen to date, which made the fact that Jon & Jodie personally wrote a poem for each person on their table plaque, very impressive. Prior planning, thoughtfulness, and attention to detail award winner 2011!

Lorna and Justin held their ceremony at the Hotel Tresanton, and proceeded to celebrate a mere stroll away at the folks house in St Mawes. Good times all-round.

Justin was lucky enough to receive a nice new ipad from Lorna, which is handy as I now able to convert wedding albums into an ibooks as well.
