Blah
I'm a commercial photographer who runs a creative studio based in
the heart of Cornwall. I also write for a surf magazine and work as an RNLI
lifeguard in the summer. Life is good
I can do fast and loose documentary, shoot on film from the hip, and can light
up the scene like a Christmas tree using the latest in digital 'billboard resolution'
technology...I'm dynamic because I love it all
I've been called a perfectionist who always comes in on brief
I work best under pressure, and tight deadlines are a food source of mine
Bio
I unwittingly took retirement first by spending the ages of 14 -
26 surfing, with little thought about anything else. I then hit the earth
with a massive thud and knew I had to pull my finger out and find a career.
So having just spent most of my life doing something I loved, all day everyday,
I knew I couldn't settle for anything less. Which left only one thing...juggling
While my circus career began falling through, I started taking photos for a pastime.
During my quest for a purpose I sat an IQ test which suggested my strength was
in spacial awareness and pointed toward a career in photography. This suited
me as like most designers and creative weirdos, I could barely spell my own name
and needed constant stimulation, without which I would begin drifting off into
my own little world...ah look, a birdy...
I went on to complete a BA (Hons) in Photography & Digital Imaging, scoring
a 2:1 and winning an award for my final major project, '600mm'. I
also wrote a dissertation on contemporary wedding photography, which led to a
passion for creating the photographs you will find in the relevant section of
this site
