20th May 2011, St Mary’s, Isles of Scilly.

Love love love and nice light.

I was looking forward to photographing a wedding on the Isles of Scilly, but I wasn’t looking forward to the flight. There’s something about a grass runway, leading straight off of a cliff, that doesn’t sit well with my need for control over my own life expectancy…

Best part of this fine day was when Stuart organised for Jo’s parents to surprised her pre ceremony, at the St Mary’s Hall hotel on the Isles of Scilly. They secretly flew out on an earlier flight. Up until then, Jo was under the impression it was just going to be Stuart, their little daughter Orla, and myself attending the ceremony. When we arrived at the hotel, I rushed up stairs and prepared to capture the surprise as she entered the hotel room (see the photos below. If you ever see me holding a camera up to my face… I’m probably crying).

We all flew back after a few location photos and some grub. The evening reception was held at St Agnes Beacon, in a  Marquee.

"Arrh, looks alright. I'll just touch it to make sure. That'll do it.."
